Electronic Recycling Program

The Monroe County Municipal Waste Authority has recognized a need for an electronic recycling program on a continuous basis.

The Monroe County Municipal Waste Authority has recognized a need for an electronic recycling program on a continuous basis. As there have been various one and two day events to take electronic items to be recycled, options are limited on a daily basis.

The Authority started a program where Monroe County Residents can bring their discarded electronics free of charge to our New Ventures Park Facility knowing that the items will be recycled and/or disposed of correctly. Proof of residency will be required before any items will be accepted. Residents will be able to bring their electronic items Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm. Please schedule appointment if you require assistance unloading. If the hours of operation are an inconvenience, please contact us and we will attempt to adjust the schedule. The New Ventures Facility is a commercial recycling facility and appointments will be necessary for the control of traffic and safety for residents, employees and commercial customers.  For more information please call the Waste Authority at 570-643-6100.
