List of Acceptable & Unacceptable Items

The following lists describe what is and isn’t acceptable to deposit at any of our drop-off locations. If you have any questions about these items, feel free to contact us.

Please be respectful and only deposit acceptable items!

Accepted Items

  • Newspaper, magazines, catalogs, and office paper
  • All paper – unless contaminated with food, grease, etc.
  • Books – soft cover ONLY
  • Junk mail
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Plastics – Numbers 1 and 2 ONLY
  • Plastic bottles, containers, milk jugs, and juice jugs
  • Detergent bottles
  • Aerosol cans, bi-metal cans, tin cans, and aluminum cans
  • Glass – all colors

Not Accepted Items

  • Trash of any kind
  • Ceramics, plate glass, dishes, or light bulbs
  • Electronics
  • Furniture
  • Number 3 – 7 plastics
  • Black plastics of any number
  • Grocery bags or plastic film
  • Beer or soda cartons
  • Wax covered paper
  • Egg cartons or like material
  • Pizza boxes
  • Waste oil
  • Styrofoam
  • Wood, lumber, & pallets
  • Car batteries
  • White goods (ie. Refrigerators, Stoves, Air Conditioners, etc.)
  • Tires
  • Yard waste & construction debris
  • CFL & fluorescent light bulbs
  • Propane tanks
  • Restaurant oil
  • Road kill
  • Scrap metal

** Contact the Waste Authority to find out how to properly dispose of the item if our drop-off locations do not accept it**
