A goal of The Waste Authority is to completely rid Monroe County of litter.
The Waste Authority urges Monroe County residents to submit a complaint the moment they notice a problematic area. To even further the fight against litter, there are several programs already in place to help combat this problem.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office works with the Outmate Program to help clean the state highways. The Probation Department works with not only adult and juvenile offenders in litter cleanups but also the local District Magistrates, who assigns community service to those who qualify for the ARD Program. Additionally, all across the county, Penn Dot tends to state roadways.
If you see litter-infested spaces on your daily commute or in your community, tell us about it.
Submit a complaint and we will take care of your issue as soon as possible.
