Composting Classes

Why spend money on potting soil, fertilizers, and other items for your garden when you can make your own for free, by composting waste you already have? Turn your scraps into rich soil for planting.

The Waste Authority will hold 6 composting classes this year! All classes will take place at our facility in Blakeslee. The cost is $25 to register per class which is instructed by a certified Master Gardener. Every participant will go home with a backyard composter valued at $99! Classes start at 9:00 am and will last approximately ½ an hour to 1 hour.

The March 14th class will be hosted by Pocono Heritage Land Trust located at 1539 Cherry Lane Rd, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.

All other classes will be held at The Waste Authority in Blakeslee, Pa.

In order to participate, you must register in advance and pay online no later than two days before the class. Classes are limited to 20 participants. For more information email cparks@thewasteauthority.com or call (570) 643-6100
